Residents invited to Christmas act at First Assembly

First Assembly of God is helping usher in the holiday season in Lincoln County and will conduct “The Melody of Christmas,” a celebration of the sights and sounds of the Christmas season, with two performances at 3:30 and 6 p.m., on Sunday, December 9.

“The whole community is invited to attend, and it’s appropriate for all ages,” Co-pastor Terry Bonds said. “We view this as First Assembly’s gift to Lincoln County and to the surrounding counties during this holiday season.”

The one-hour musical presentation will consist of the many sights and sounds of Christmas, and guests can expect a variety of musical ensembles.

The performance will showcase a jazz band featuring Tim Sanders on the saxophone, a barber shop quartet, the First Assembly Kids Choir under the direction of Renee Hall and Sherry Morris, the LCES Ensemble under the direction of Jason Bonds, and the First Assembly Sanctuary Choir under the direction of Terry Bonds.

First Assembly of God is located at 328 May Avenue.

Admission is free, and a nursery will be provided for both performances. For more information, call 706-359-7237.
