LC Paws taking preorders for 2019 local pet calendar

LC Paws a non-profit organization that rescues and fosters lost, stray, and abandoned dogs and cats is now taking pre orders for its 2019 calendars.

“The calendars are the product of a photo contest in which residents were asked to submit pictures of their animals, said Melissa Fox, LC Paws chief financial officer.

“We have been working very hard on the calendar,” said Fox. “We received over 300 photographs and had a total of 164 entries including a variety of dogs, cats, squirrels, rabbit, and a hamster. While the judges had a difficult time choosing the winners we are delighted with the choices,” she said.

“Each and every picture we received was absolutely priceless and each one not chosen for the actual month will still be featured in the calendar. The winners will be announced once the calendars are delivered to us and ready for distribution” Fox said. “They will make great gifts for Christmas and/or stocking stuffers.”

Preorders are being accepted until October 31 and the calendars cost $20.00 each. The cost after October 31 will be $25.00

Contact lincolntonlcpaws@gmail.com to preorder a calendar or contact LC Paws directors Lisa Reese, Debra Poland, Melissa Fox, Nicky Smith, Casey Ratliff, or Nancy Foster.

Payment may also be made through PayPal, or by check or cash to Farmers State Bank, Attn: Melissa Fox; P.O. Box 84; Lincolnton, GA 30817.

“Along with the calendars, we are currently selling tickets for a “Pamper Your Dog” basket-bag worth $165,” Fox said. The basket includes a burlap storage bin, two holiday toys, bowl, ball, leash, collar, brush, dog treats, waste bags and dispenser, and dog magnet.

Tickets are $3 each or two for $5. The drawing will be held on Saturday, December 15, at the “Night of Lights” in Lincolnton. You can purchase tickets through any director or at 112 Main Street.

Proceeds will go toward veterinarian costs for each animal LC Paws takes in. All animals are fully vetted and spayed/neutered before being fostered or adopted.
