Wright was guest speaker for youth service at WRBC

DEBRIANA WRIGHT DEBRIANA WRIGHT Debriana Wright, a 2015 graduate of Lincoln County High School, was the guest speaker for the fourth Sunday youth service at White Rock Baptist Church on August 26.

Wright’s topic was, ‘You’re Bigger Than Your Goliath’ with the scripture reference 1 Samuel 17: 41-47.

“I want to encourage everyone that no matter how big or small your Goliath may be in your life, you are so much bigger than it. You will be victorious at all cost when you believe and stand on God’s Holy Word,” Wright said.

She is currently a senior pursuing a major in psychology and a minor in sociology at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She plans ultimately to be a guidance counselor in a juvenile center.

Wright has been an active volunteer at Claflin University and in the Orangeburg-area since her freshman year. She has presented at a local Boys and Girls Club and in the summer, she has worked at R&L Mini Miracles Learning Childcare in Martinez. This summer, she worked at Six Flags Over Georgia. In her spare time, she likes to blog and write.

“I realize the calling along with the anointing that God has placed over my life,” she said. “Each day I strive to defeat my Goliath and do my best to attend to my Father’s business. It is a blessing to encourage and help as many people as I can, when I can. With God’s guidance, I go at it in full force with elegance, style, and grace.”

Wright is a member of the White Rock Baptist Church where Rev. Seymore Harrison is the pastor. She is the daughter of Terry and Debbie Wright.
