Kids enjoy getting their hands dirty making kinetic sand

Making “Kinetic Sand” was just one of the activities at the last “Fun Morning with Mrs. Crook and Mrs. Robertson” at the Lincoln County Recreation Center. The kids had a blast mixing sand, cornstarch and a few other ingredients to make a moldable sand that never dries out. Some of those attendees, (l-r) Alli Lively, Ella Brian Robertson, Emma Grace Cliatt, Kate McWhorter, and Mary Claire Matthews, were almost up to their elbows mixing the sand. Later, for a treat, Mrs. Crook and Mrs. Robertson brought the fixings for “ice cream in a bag,” which is great fun making and even more fun eating.
