4-H’ers hold Volunteer Day

Lincoln County 4- H held a Volunteer Day over Thanksgiving break. This was a great way to start our Thanksgiving week!

Lincoln County 4-H had 15 4-H’ers who got up early on their first day of Thanksgiving break last Monday, on November 20th to volunteer and help ‘To Make the Best Better’ by volunteering at the Lincoln County Food Pantry and volunteering at Operation Backpack at the Georgia Baptist Association located in Washington, Georgia. Lincoln County 4-H did a great job at both locations where they helped organize many canned goods, helped hand out canned goods and turkeys at the Lincoln County Food Pantry and after lunch, Lincoln County 4-H helped pack 200 backpacks for Operation Backpack held at the Georgia Baptist Association located in Wilkes County.

Also, in honor of Thanksgiving Week, Lincoln County 4-H would like to thank both the Lincoln County Food Pantry and the Georgia Baptist Association for continuing to welcome Lincoln County 4-H into your facilities to come volunteer and help each year. A special thank you to all Lincoln County 4-H’ers who volunteered, 4-H parents, Lincoln County Transportation for your continued support, Mrs. Naomi Cobb at the Lincoln County Food Pantry and Mrs. Lauree at the Georgia Baptist Association located in Washington.
