Hogan children of the late Inman Curry Hogan Jr. Lincoln County High School is excited to announce that it has been selected to participate in the Georgia Apply to College program, an annual event sponsored by Communities in Schools, the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of Georgia, and the University System of Georgia.

Lincoln County High School’s event will be held on November 14th, 2017 from 11-2. During the Georgia Apply to College event, seniors will receive hands-on assistance from volunteers, many of whom are from local colleges and universities, businesses and community organizations, as they navigate the college application process. The goal is for each student to successfully complete at least one college admission application using the GAfutures.org website.

GAfutures is Georgia’s new online resource to help students plan, apply and find affordable ways to pay for college. The site serves as a valuable resource for application and financial aid information for the public and private colleges or universities in Georgia. In addition, students can conduct national college and scholarship searches, find resources for online test preparations, and take career assessments and explore high-demand careers.

Additional information about the Georgia Apply to College program can be found online at GAfutures.org. For more information about Lincoln County High School’s event, please contact Ashley Blanchette at ablanchette@lcboe.us or 706-359- 3121.
