As per tradition one of these ladies will be crowned queen at Friday night’s Red Devil game against Greene County. This week has been filled with Red Devil pride and school spirited activities as students, athletes, teachers, and the community at large are preparing for the annual Lincoln County High School homecoming, set for this Friday, October 20.

In order to get into the spirit of homecoming, the ever-popular “Dress Days” have been enjoyed throughout the week. Monday was “Favorite Team Day,” where students wore jerseys, hats, T-shirts, and other paraphernalia supporting their favorite college football, NFL, NBA, and MLB teams; Tuesday was “Character/Out-of-this-World/ Disney Day,” where kids dressed as their favorite fictional figures; Wednesday was a “Pink-Out” in honor of “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month;” Thursday took a double take as it was named “Multiplicity/ Twin Day,” and students were encouraged to dress the same as a classmate, or rather to “twin it;” and Friday has been dedicated, as per tradition, “Spirit Day,” as students will don the colors red and white in anticipation for the Red Devils’ homecoming game.

All of these activities are leading up to the formal Homecoming Court, which will be featured at the halftime show of the Lincoln County-Greene County football game on Friday, October 20, on Buddy Bufford Field beginning at 7:30 p.m.
