Reviere takes win in sheriff’s race with majority vote

The results are in and Lincoln County’s new sheriff has been decided as voters have flooded polling stations over the past few weeks – Paul Reviere won with 66.05 percent of the votes, edging out opponents Gerald Lawson, who garnered 28.75 percent, and Gene Poss, who received 5.03 percent.

Reviere will be sworn into office within the coming days, and begin his duties as sheriff soon, as his oath of office could be taken as early as Fri­day.
