America’s documents find home in courthouse



A special unveiling ceremony held last week highlighted the newly erected American documents at the Lincoln County Courthouse, which include the Ten Commandments, the Magna Carta, Mayflower Com­pact, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Preamble to the Georgia Constitution, the Star- Spangled Banner, Lady Justice, and the national motto of the United States, which is “In God We Trust.” The documents, a part of the Historical Display Law initiative, have now been hung in over 30 government building across the state.
