Free legal help offered to seniors

If you are age 60 or older; live in Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Han­cock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington or Wilkes County; and have ever thought of getting a Last Will and Testament, Financial Power of At­torney or Advance Directive for Healthcare, call Georgia Legal Services Program(r) (GLSP) at 706- 721-2327 to register for the free legal clinic to be held on Saturday, August 26th, from 9 a.m. until noon at GLSP offices, 209 7th Street, 4th Floor, Augusta.

The clinic is a collaboration be­tween the Augusta Bar Association, the Pro Bono Section of the Georgia Bar Association, the Elderly Legal Assistance Program (ELAP) and Georgia Legal Services Program. Private attorneys will assist GLSP attorneys in the drafting and ex­ecution of simple wills, financial powers of attorney and advance directives for healthcare at no cost to you.
