Thirty-nine particpants enjoy Cox family tournament May 13


Thirty-nine teens and children turn out to participate in the Annual Cox Family Fishing Tournament Saturday, May 13. Thirty-nine teens and children turn out to participate in the Annual Cox Family Fishing Tournament Saturday, May 13. The annual Cox Family Fish­ing Tournament was held on Saturday, May 13th, at Cox Farm on Leathersville Road in Lincolnton. Thirty-nine teens and children participated in the tournament, and 174 fish were caught throughout the morning. There were four first-time fish­ers among the group.

The following prizes were given: first fish caught - Gage Hinton, smallest fish caught - Brooks Minyard (4.75 inches), largest fish caught - JR Quarles (18.5 inches), most fish caught - Christopher Scott (26).

There was also a prize of $5 given for the albino fish caught by Gage Hinton, but the fish was returned to the pond.
