Masons to meet

The Lincolnton Masonic Lodge 354 holds its regular meeting os the third Thursday of every month. Dinner is served at 6:30 with the meeting starting at 7:30.

AA meeting

There is an Alcoholics Anony­mous/ Al Anon meeting being held each Tuesday Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Dunn’s Chapel Methodist Church located at 6563 Ridge Road in Ap­pling, Georgia.

Sunday services

Blessed Hope Bible Baptist meets at the Presbyterian Church on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Wednes­days at 7 p.m. for prayer meeting. Come join us. For more informa­tion call 706-359-6759.

Eastern Star to meet

Order of the Eastern Star meets the second Monday of every month. A covered dish meal begins at 7 p.m., the meeting begins at 8 p.m.

Sons to meet

The Sons of American Legion Squadron 194 will meet at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the post home. All members are encouraged to attend.

Saturday dance

Augusta Christian Singles host a dance every Saturday at the Ball­room Dance Center, 525 Grand Slam Dr., Evans, Ga. Admission is $10 guests, $8 members. Dance lessons for salsa, line dance, etc., is held from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.; dance is 7:30 - 10:30. Everyone ages 18 and up are invited. Dress is casual. Call 706- 294-7195 for more information.

Flu shots at Health Dept.

The Lincoln County Health De­partment is administering influenza vaccine Monday-Friday, 8: 00 – 4:00 PM (closed for lunch 12-12:30 pm). The charges are $30.00 for flu vaccine and $50 for the high dose vaccine which is for age 65 and up only. These charges can be billed to Medicaid, Medicare Part B and most private insurance. Pavilion, May House

The Lincoln County Historical Society encourages the use of the Lincoln County Historical Park for family and community events. The Lewis Family Pavilion and the May House make great venues for wed­dings, receptions, family reunions or other get- togethers. Fees are very reasonable and you don’t have to be a member to use the facility. Call (706) 359-3237 for details and information.

Silver Lining anniv.

As we approach the sixth annivesary of the Silver Lining Foundation of Newberry Missionary Baptist Church we would like to thank you for your past support. As we continue to help those going thru cancer treatment, we hope that we can depend on your generosity this year.

The Silver Lining Foundation is a foundation that provides financial assistance to help cover travel and meals for patients that are being treated for cancer, is in need of financial support. Cookbook available

Heavenly Manna Vol. II, a cook­book compiled by the members of Double Branches Baptist Church, is on sale at the Lincoln County Library for $10 each. Cookbooks may also be purchased by calling Emily Strozier at 359-4292.

Friday night bingo

Play Bingo at American Legion Post 194 on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a variety of goodies at the Snack Bar operated by the Ladies Auxiliary during Bingo. Special Bingo games are also played. Come out and see if you are lucky enough to win the Jackpot.

Midway cookbook

The Lincoln County Health De­partment has Shingles Vaccine available for both insured and uninsured persons aged 60 and up. Please call 706-359-3154 for pricing and to make an appointment.

4-H garden fundraiser

The Lincoln County 4-H Horse Club is having a garden fundraiser, choose from eight different variety packs! From Heirloom Garden, Herbs Galore, Totally Tomatoes, Salad Garden, to beautiful flower collections: Save the Monarch, Pol­linator Blend, Fresh Cut Flowers, or the Edible Flower Blend collection. CWRT meets Feb. 20

The Civil War Round Table of Augusta will meet Feb. 20, 6 - 8 p.m. at Goodwill’s Snelling Center, 3165 Washington Road, Augusta. Meeting is $15.00 (includes dinner). Family reunion meeting

Towels for Tails

Donations of towels, sheets, or blankets are needed for WW Animal Shelter. Donations can be dropped off at Wilkes Co. Vet Ser­vices, Lincoln Co. Vet Services, Lincoln Animal Hospital or the shelter.

Benefit program

The Women’s Missionary Society of Mulberry CME Church invites the public to fellowship with them Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. for their Third An­nual Scholarship Benefit Program. Bishop James B. Ware will be the guest speaker.

Free Tax Prep

Free Tax Preparation Service will be provided again in Columbia County from Feb. 1 - April 17. With the help of our team of IRS-certified volunteers we make it easy for you. The program is open to all taxpayers of all ages and backgrounds.
