Library will offer children’s events through July 15

The Lincoln County Library summer reading program “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!” is now un­derway and will continue through July 15. Prizes for completion will be available for pick-up on June 1.

Children, from birth through ris­ing fifth graders, must read 30 books or complete 15 hours of reading time.

Rising sixth-twelfth graders must read eight books.

Reading logs for the summer challenge can be picked up at the library. The log deadline is July 15, at 4 p.m.

Along with the summer reading program, the library is hosting a number of events from June-July.

The itinerary will go as follows:

June 2, at 11 a.m. The Morris Museum of Art.

June 6, at 11 a.m. Fiddlin’ Dan the Mountain Man.

June 8, at 11 a.m. Chad Crews, Magical Storyteller.

June 11, at 10 a.m. Sports Ex­travaganza with the Recreation Department.

June 23, at 11 a.m. Therapy Dogs.

June 30, at 2 p.m. Reggie the Bunny.

July 7, at 10:30 a.m. Shaun Poppy and the Reptiles.

July 14, at 11 a.m. Michael P. White, artist.

July 15, from 5-7 p.m. Carnival at the Columbia County Library.

All programs last approximately 45 minutes unless otherwise stat­ed.
