Little Roy and Lizzy festival slated for April 28-30 at park

The Fourth Annual Little Roy and Lizzy Music Festival will be held at Elijah Clark State Park beginning Thursday, April 28, at noon and finishing on Saturday, April 30. The three-day extravaganza will host a multitude of bluegrass artists fit for all ages.

Open stage will begin daily at 11 a.m., with scheduled shows from noon-10 p.m.

Along side The Little Roy and Lizzy Show, the legendary Jeff and Sheri Easter, renowned gospel duo, will perform one show Thursday night at 7 p.m.

As a bonus, a free barbecue and covered dish supper will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 6 p.m. for all three day ticket holders.

Three-day passes to the festival are $85 in advance, or $90 at the gate for adults; daily admission is $35 in advance, or $40 at the gate. Advanced three-day passes for children ages 7-13 are $45, or $50 at the gate; daily passes for children are $15. All children age seven and under are free when accompanied by a parent.

Elijah Clark State Park offers rental cottages on Clarks Hill Lake and spacious campgrounds tucked in the woods for festival goers to inhabit.

The weekend of family fun and American music will proceed rain or shine. A large tent will be provided for the entirety of the event. Guests are requested to take a lawn chair with them to the park.

Because of the nature of the fam­ily festival, alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

There is a daily parking fee of $5 as required by all Georgia State Parks.
