Lucille Ann Oldmixon
Mrs. Lucille Ann Oldmixon, 85, of Montego Point, entered into rest on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her sons residence.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 at the Joiner Anderson Chapel in Statesboro.
Mrs. Oldmixon, the former Lucille Ann DeGroot was born October 20, 1928 in Rockaway, New York, daughter of the late George and Janet Bond DeGroot. She was a 1946 graduate of Woodmere High School and member of the Woodmere Methodist Church. She was a member of the Lincolnton United Methodist Church and was active in the women’s guild. She loved and raised many foster children over the years and enjoyed singing, reading and crotcheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Oldmixon; sisters, Audrey Wells and Jean Moleno, and a brother, George DeGroot.
Survivors include her children, Nan (Jeff) Williams of W.V., John Oldmixon, Statesboro, Ga., Bruce (Debbie) Oldmixon and Julie (Richard) Vollmann, Hartwell, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Lee (Rick) Casares, S.C., Eddie (Ji) Pasko, Multeko, WA., Abby (Forrest Daves, Conway, S.C., and Andy (Thelma Jo) Pasko, WV, Connie Oldmixon, David,
Christian and Alex Vollmann, Ga.; step-grandsons, Blake and Adam Williams, W.V.; five greatgrandchildren, Kevin and Keith Casares, Dawson Daves, Amelia Pasko, Andrew Pasko; four step great-grandchildren, Audrey, Daniel, Alex and Eli Williams.
