Beginners boater safety class to be offered by TLSPS
The Thurmond Lake Sail & Power Squadron will be teaching the new “ABC Beginning Boaters Class” beginning August 10th!
Learn how to operate your boat safely by taking this course! The new America’s Boating Course is a comprehensive course which covers all aspects of boating: boat handling, docking, right of way, anchoring, aids to navigation, required equipment, state laws, boating emergencies and more.
The course will be taught on four afternoons from 12 – 4 p.m. at the McCormick Public library.
Classes are: Tues., Aug. 10; Fri., Aug. 13; Tues., Aug. 17; and final class which is review and exam will be on Fri., 20.
The Thurmond Lake Sail & Power Squadron is part of the U.S. Power Squadron and is dedicated to promoting boating safety. We teach this course as a public service and your cost is for books and materials only: $25 per single person or $30 for a couple.
