Twenty-two young ladies will compete for title of Miss LCMS

Not pictured is Jamiesha Hearst. Twenty-two young ladies in grades six, seven, and eight will take part in the annual Miss LCMS Pageant Friday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.

The emcee for the occasion is Jimi Lane, a veteran teacher from Harlem.

In addition to Miss LCMS, the judges will select grade winners, and Miss Congeniality will be named. The pageant participants decide who will receive this coveted award.

Moreover, Ashley Asbell, Miss LCMS 2009, will be on hand to crown the pageant winner.

Competing for the title of Miss LCMS are:

Six Graders – Abbigail Baker, Anna Marie Beggs, Felisha Paradise, Lauren Rueda, Courtney Lynn Spratlin, and Sydney Carlyle Thornton.

Seventh Graders – Chelsea Paige Creech, Michaela Goldman, Jamiesha Hearst, Anna Pendergrass, Erin Thornton, Maria Tokar, and Tiffani Alyssa Tutt.

Eighth Graders – Ivie Sue Aycock, Emily Allene Banks, Quade’sha Benning, Callie Alexandria Bryan, Ashton Bailey Crosby, Kristen Lynette James, Margaret Ashton Partridge, Caroline Spratlin, and Whitley Alexandria Wright.

“We are very excited for our girls who are competing in the pageant,” said Pam Carmichael, LCMS principal. “This is a wonderfully positive experience for our students. Also, the faculty and staff are to be commended for working so hard to make sure the evening goes smoothly.”

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students, with children under the age of five admitted free of charge. Middle school Gold Cards will be honored.
