Congressman Paul Broun recently announced that he will once again bring the services of his congressional office directly to his constituents through his “Congress on the Square” initiative.

On Thursday, March 18, Broun will set up a “mobile office” in the conference room at the Lincolnton- Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, located in the Blanchard House at 112 N. Washington Street.

From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., two of the congressman’s representatives will be on hand to answer questions and help residents who have concerns regarding issues such as disability benefits, Medicare, Social Security, passports and United States visas, government spending, healthcare reform, and veterans’ benefits.

The congressional voting schedule in Washington, D.C. does not permit Dr. Broun to be present at these meetings.

In his comments, the congressman said, “I am here to serve the people of Georgia in every way I can. I urge folks to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with my staff members during Congress on the Square. If my team is unable to help you, they can certainly point you in the direction of someone who can.”

This month, Dr. Broun will be hosting Congress on the Square in 10 communities where he does not have a district office.

For more information about the program, constituents may call Broun’s Augusta office at 706-447- 3857.
