Turkey shoot
The Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 194 will have a Turkey Shoot at 7:00 p.m., on Feb. 26, at the American Legion Fairgrounds. Come on out for great fun and great fellowship and great prizes. Prayer brunch
The St. Luke Baptist Church, 3130 Metasville Road, Lincolnton, Georgia, will have its Annual Women on the Move For Christ Prayer Brunch, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Kathy Jones and her congregation from Freedom Ministries will be the special guests.
The Virtuous Women of Praise will be in charge of musical entertainment. All women are encouraged to attend this spiritual and revitalizing service. Lunch will be served.

Retreat rescheduled
The Lincoln County Sunday School Union’s Annual Valentines Retreat has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 6th at First Baptist Church, where Rev. Dennis Quinn is pastor.

Gospel Explosion
A Gospel Explosion will be held at The Lincoln Center on April 3 at 5 p.m. with various groups from in and out of town. St. Patrick’s Day dance
The Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 597 will host a St. Patrick’s Day Dance Sat., March 20 beginning at 9 p.m. The music will be provided by D.J. Vontrae’. Interpreted sermons
First Assembly of God has begun a new ministry to reach the hispanic community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The sermons are now interpreted via a microphone/ earphone system. Those who do not understand English wear earphones and the service is translated by Ms. Isabel Garrett.
