Chief Justice reports on departmental activities

An activity report for the Lincolnton Police Department was issued recently by Chief Jim Justice.

According to Justice, the following arrests took place recently in the city:

.. William Henry Cullars, 58, of Lincolnton, charged with driving without a tag light, having no proof of insurance, driving with an expired tag, improper transfer of license plate, driving with a suspended license, and habitual violator.

.. Tracy Renee Davis, 32, of Lincolnton, charged with failure to maintain lane, DUI, having no proof of insurance, and driving with a suspended tag.

.. Zenita Latay Harris, 30, of Lincolnton, charged with having no proof of insurance, driving with a suspended tag, and driving with a suspended license.

.. Ricky Lee Norman, 40, Lincolnton, charged with failure to maintain lane, driving while unlicensed, fleeing and attempting to elude, and DUI.

.. Kenneth Smalley, 55, of Lincolnton, charged with failure to maintain lane and DUI.

.. Howard Smith, 54, of Lincolnton, charged with failure to yield while turning left and DUI.

Among the incidents occurring in the city were:

.. Angela Wright reported that an unknown person(s) entered her Dodge Caravan, which was unlocked, and removed an undisclosed amount of cash and other items. Her van was parked at Bell’s Food Market at the time of the crime.

.. Viola Harris reported that an unknown person(s) entered her unlocked Ford Ranger, while it was parked on House Street. The subject(s) stole her purse, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and other items.

Both incidents are still under investigation, stated Chief Justice.
