Choir anniversary
First Baptist Church Young Adult Choir will be celebrating its 16th choir anniversary on Sunday, February 14 at 3 p.m. The pubic is invited.
Calendar fund-raiser
We are now selling a 2010 calendar to raise money for cancer patients in our area. The calendars are $12.00 each. You can pick up one from any officer or board member. Also, Darran has them at Ed Sive Tire & Battery in Elberton. Pictures from our events are on the page with each month.
Reunion meeting Sing & Sip Class members from Lincolnton Colored High School, Lincolnton Training School and Westside High School 1942 - 1970 will meet at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14 at the library. This will be our first planning meeting for our class reunion. Please plan to be in attendance.
Anthony Chapel will be hosting a “Sing & Sip” at 7 p.m., Saturday, February 27.
Featured talent includes: Bill Maxwell from Beaverdam Baptist; Trudy Ingram Matthews from Hephzibah Baptist, Karen Lewis Saggus from Tignall Baptist; Lincolnton U.M. Praise Bank, Lincolnton U.M. Church; Hilda Cliatt, from Salem Baptist and the Anthony Chapel Ensemble..
This promises to be an evening of gospel music you’ll remember always.
Mouth watering treats will follow the perofrmance. Everyone is invited.
Prayer brunch
The St. Luke Baptist Church, 3130 Metasville Road, Lincolnton, Georgia, will have its Annual Women on the Move For Christ Prayer Brunch, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Kathy Jones and her congregation from Freedom Ministries will be the special guests.
The Virtuous Women of Praise will be in charge of musical entertainment. All women are encouraged to attend this spiritual and revitalizing service. Lunch will be served.

Gospel Explosion
A Gospel Explosion will be held at The Lincoln Center on April 3 at 5 p.m. with various groups from in and out of town. A drawing will be held for Easter baskets prior to the program at a cost of $2 per ticket. See the Blackmon and Wynn families for tickets. Prizes will be given at the program.
Third anniversary
The Deacons and Trustees of Ebenezer Baptist Church invites the public to its third anniversary celebration at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14. Rev. Melvin Adams and New Holt Baptist Church will be the guests. Rev. Fred Perriman is pastosr.
Sweetheart Ball
The Ladies Auxiliary of Thomas- Lane American Legion, Post 597 will sponsor a Sweetheart Ball on Saturday, February 13 at the post located on Thomas-Lane Post Road in Lincolnton.

Coaches, umps needed
Lincoln County Little League is underway and we are looking for coaches and umpires. If you are interested in being a part of a great program and love kids, then join us Feb. 16, 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Library.

Bingo at Post 194
Play Bingo at American Legion Post 194 on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a variety of goodies at the Snack Bar operated by the Ladies Auxiliary during Bingo. Special Bingo games are also played. Come out and see if you are lucky enough to win the Jackpot. Bring a friend and enjoy the fun.
Bridge games
Duplicate bridge games will be held weekly at two area locations. The first is at Hickory Knob State Park restaurant every Monday. The restaurant is open immediately before and immediately after the game that begins at 1:30 Monday afternoon.
The other game is held on most Thursdays at the Savannah Lakes Village Activity Center in McCormick at 6:30 pm. Both games are open to all interested players at all skill levels.
Although it is best to bring your own partner, we will always try to find you a partner. The Monday game is sanctioned by the ACBL, and master points are awarded. Players are not required, however, to be members of the ACBL.

NAACP/TIA to meet
The Lincoln County Chapter of the NAACP and Twilight Improvement Association will meet at the Lincoln County Public Library Annex on Mon., Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
