Frankie Glaze Phillips Mrs. Frankie Glaze Phillips, 71 of Aycock- Norman Rd. died Friday, January 29, 2010 at MCG, Augusta. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Revs. Dan Rosser and Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment followed in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. Mrs..Phillips, daughter of the late Frank and Lois Dawkins Glaze, was born in Wilkes County. She grew up in Lincoln County, and during her husband Jerry’s career, had lived in Augusta, Albany, Memphis, Houston, Cincinnati, and Macon. In 1992, following retirement, they moved to Lincolnton to reside on the Glaze Farm which has been in their family for over 100 years. She was a member of the Lincolnton Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Mrs. Phillips was very talented with arts and crafts which led to the Phillips family hosting “Christmas at the Covered Bridge” each holiday season for over ten years. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Jerry Ray Phillips, Sr.; two sons, Michael Frank Phillips of Lincolnton and Jerry Ray Phillips, Jr., and wife, Lisa of Martinez; two caughters, Jacqueline Phillips of Lincolnton and Cynthia Lois Griffin and husband, Emory of Macon; two sisters, Lavina Marlow of Lincolnton and Sara Beth McGee of Evans; seven randchildren, Al Phillips, Christi Whitehead, Nicole Phillips Crook, Amie Griffin, Amanda Griffin, Brendon Phillips, and Alex Phillips; and three great- grandchildren, Emilee Phillips, A.J. Phillips, and Brayden Crook. Pallbearers were Ronnie Varner, Sonny Clement, Steven Dawkins, Danny Dawkins, David Dawkins, James Marlow, Stoy Marlow, Floyd Marlow, and Al Phillips. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Memorial contributions can be made to: Lincolnton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 387, Lincolnton, Ga. 30817.
