..Salem Baptist Church had a chili cookoff on Saturday night. Thirtyfive guests enjoyed the event. Herb and Kimberly won first place; second place was given to Herman Jones, with Vernan Blackburn awarded the third place. All of the chili was very good, along with all of the other ingredients, especially the desserts.
