Ms. Bernice Jones entered into rest on Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 23 at New Tabernacle Baptist Church were Rev. Matthew Harden is pastor and Rev. Franklin Jones is the eulogist. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Demondre L. Brown of Lincolnton; three daughters, Mashika (Roderick) Bussey of Macon, Ga., Shamika Stringer of Decatur, Ala., and Tamki (Roderick) Freeman of Lincolnton; her mother, Mrs. Rozellar Jones of Lincolnton; five brohers, Kenneth (Teresa) Jones, Jeffrey Jones, Jackie Jones, Pastor Franklin (Kathy) Jones, all of Lincolnton and Gary (Essie) Jones of McCormick, S.C.; six sisters, Angela J. (Anthony) Brown, Patsy J. (Alvin Murray, Mary-Ann (Craig) Norman, Margaret Beard, Lizze Mae (Willie) Bolton, all of Lincolnton; and Barbara (Horace) Leverett of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Norris W. Gunby Sr. Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
