A reception will be held Sunday, January 31, from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Lincolnton Clubhouse in honor of Henry Brown, the first black mayor of the City of Lincolnton.

During the reception, citizens will have the opportunity to meet the new mayor and welcome him to the helm of the city.

The event is being sponsored by friends, family members, and supporters of Mayor Brown.

The public is cordially invited to attend.
