Mr. Thomas Dennis Bradford, 70, passed away at his home Friday, January 15, 2010.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James M. Ramsey officiating.

A native of Lincoln County he had resided in Thomson for the past 35 years. He was a retired freight driver for Pepsico and Spartan Express and an avid gardner. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Thomson.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Perdue Smith Bradford of Thomson; a son, Jeff and Melissa Bradford of Sherwood, Illinois; a daughter, Tonya and Bill Gowan of Thomson; a brother, Terry and Mary Lou Bradford of Washington; a sister, Trudie and John Sutherland of Washington; his mother, Juanita McCall Bradford of Washington; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas A. Bradford of Lincolnton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
