The Lincoln County ACS (American Cancer Society) Relay for Life will kick off the 2010 season on Tuesday, January 19, at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County Library.

“The kick-off celebration is a great opportunity for people who want to learn how to get involved in the ACS Relay for Life,” said Melissa Burgess, one of the organizers of the event. “We’ll celebrate the success of the 2009 Relay for Life and kick off the 2010 event. To become involved in this year’s relay, please join us for the festivities.”

In 2009, the Lincoln County ACS Relay for Life raised $39,831.55 for the fight against cancer.

The annual event represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.
