Terry Mark “TJ” Johnson
Mr. Terry Mark “TJ” Johnson, 53, of Washington Hwy., Elberton, Georgia, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at his home.
Born in Anderson Co., S.C., he was the son of Libby Hill Johnson and the late Bennie Max Johnson, TJ was a former member of the Elbert County EMS and Hart Co. EMS and served as a first responder for both. He was former Vice-President of Whitlow Electric Co., former employee of Star Granite and was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church.
A service celebrating TJ’s life will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, January 9 at Elberton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith and rev. Gary Purvis officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Smith Johnson, of the home, a daughter, Ande Rae Johnson of the home, a son, Benne Max Johnson of the home, his mother, Libby Hill Johnson of Hartwell; a sister, Joy Shaw of Hartwell and two brothers, Tony Johnson of Hartwell and Barney Johnson of Franklin Springs.
The following have been asked to be honorary pallbearers: The Board of Directors of T.J. & Friends Foundation, Darren Scarborough, Kyle Scarborough, Keith Scarborough, Josh Fowler, Jimmy Gunter, Mark Adams, Ricky Johnson, Steve Higginbotham, Mike Webb, Chuck Almond, Blake Thompson, Randy Lane, Galen Mills, Frankie Teasley, Dr. Wiggans, Dr. Hallie, Terri Claude, Nancy Seymour, Terri Seymour, Pam Gunner and Lee Pulliam.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ande Rae and Benne Max Johnson Scholarship Fund c/o Pinnacle Bank or to TJ & Friends, 1675 Deep Creek Rd, Dewy Rose, GA 30635.
Several Lincoln County cancer patients have received financial assistance from the TJ & Friends.
