Mrs. Sherry Wallace Newsome, 63, of Thomson Rd. entered into rest on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her residence.

Graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Leonard Dupree and Rev. Jimmy Newsome officiating.

Mrs. Newsome was the daughter of the late Henry Newton Wallace and Blanche Henderson Wallace of Lincolnton, Ga. She was a devoted caregiver and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, G.B. Newsome, Jr.; one son, Burt Newsome of Washington, Ga.; two daughters, Rebecca Shane Gaines of Nicholson, Ga. and Shannon Eliza- beth Thomason of Tignall, Ga.;three grandchildren, Trace Newsome, Tanner Barnett and Taylor McAvoy; brother, Garnett Wallace and wife, Jackie of Lincolnton; sister, Nan W. Goff and husband, Mickey of McCormick S.C.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions may be made to T.J. and Friends Foundation, Inc., 1675 Deep Creek Rd., Dewey Rose, GA. 30634 or to Cancer Relief Fund, 2090 Thomson Rd., Washington, GA. 30673.
