The MACK is proud to announce the infamous calendar project has hit the presses. The expected delivery date is set for Thanksgiving week. If you are unfamiliar with the project, you are in for a treat. A handful of the most involved participants in the programs and events at the MACK have created an exciting spin on the traditional calendar posing as there own version of a monthly masterpiece. Each portrait is stunning and unique many thanks to the unimaginable talent of our photographer Anna Reed and her Nanny Goat Photography. The women involved deserve an ovation for their courage, tenacity and determination to follow through with this particularly sensational project.

The MACK is proud to be represented by such a bold, brave and beautiful group of women. We ask for your support and pride as we have dared to expose a level of dedication never before seen in our community. A presale option to reserve your calendars will be available November 12, 2009. There will be an unveiling of these calendars with a cocktail hour and the amazing women behind the project one month later on Saturday December 12 from 6:00 to 8:00. Calendars will be sold for an unarguably fair price of $15, all proceeds to support the MACK and its future civic and artistic endeavors.

Award-winning Sharon Taylor Padgett will be offering another wonderful Acrylic Painting Workshop. If you have always wanted to learn to paint, come join Sharon on Saturday November 21. Her class will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Under the step-by-step direction of Ms. Padgett, you will complete a painting. The fee for this course is $50 to include supplies (paint, brushes and a 16x20 canvas). Contact the MACK at 864-852- 3216 to register.

The MACK offices will be closed for Thanksgiving November 26-27. They will reopen on Monday, November 30.

Come join us in the park behind the MACK for the Christmas Tree Lighting. The McCormick Choir will be there to sing carols, the lighting of our live Christmas tree will take place and you will have the opportunity to ring in the season with your friends and neighbors. Don't miss this event!
