Devils edge Bulldogs and advance to second round
      Trion's Bulldogs controlled the ball for most of the game, but couldn't find a way to score. Two long passes to Rusty Scott helped the Devils to two TDs and a 14-0 first round victory. Lincoln County will host Eagles Landing Christian Academy in a second-round game this Friday.

Eagles Landing to visit Lincolnton
      Eagles Landing Christian Academy, the #2 seed from Region 5, scored late to defeat Athens Academy 23-18 and earn the right to travel to Lincolnton next Friday in the second round of the Class A playoffs. ELCA has the most potent offense in Class A, averaging over 40 points per game and riding a 9-game winning streak.
