Miss Emily G. Rorie, 71, a resident of Echols Personal Care Home, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 6 at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. James M. Newsome, Jr. officiating.

Miss Rorie was the daughter of the late James R. Rorie and the late Janie Nunn Karel. She attended First Baptist Church of Washington, Ga.

Survivors include one sister, Eva R. Bufford of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews, Webb Bufford of Washington, and Mark Stevenson of Atlanta.
