Frances L. Irby Palmer
FRANCES L. IRBY PALMER Mrs. Frances L. "Marion" Irby Palmer, 70, wife of David Palmer, entered into rest Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Doctor's Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Avera, Ga. with Revs. Nathan Palmer and Donald Lumpkin officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Fran had a great love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening and fishing. But most of all, she loved her family and friends. She was a very special and unique person - a wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, and friend. She will always be cherished and missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Daisy Byrd Irby; three brothers, Tom Irby, Gus Irby and Buford Irby; and a sister, Betty Irby.
Survivors include her children, Dwayne (Debra) Hadden of Avera Ga., Ronnie (Amy) Hadden of Avera, Michelle (Kelly) Gunter of Blairsville, Ga., Tiffine Brown of Pensacola Fla., and Toshia (Swain) Keaton of Tren- ton, S.C.; two brothers, Grady (Florence) Irby of Louisville Ga. and Bob (Sara) Irby of Evans Ga.; a sister, Dorothy (Kenneth) Kelley of Macon Ga.; twelve grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Thomas Arrington, Gus Cash, Charles Irby, P.J. Irby, Sonny Irby, Trey Logan, Lamar Palmer and Danny Tucker.
James Funeral Home, Wrens, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
