"Why can't the people of Lincoln County get a tax freeze?" Wade Johnson asked this question on September 11, 2008 in a political ad placed in this newspaper. Mr. Johnson stated and I quote, "We can and it will be my goal to do so!"

According to Johnson's campaign ad, last year there were 33 Georgia communities enjoying a property tax freeze. Since Mr. Johnson was elected, three more communities have enacted a property tax freeze.

Mr. Johnson, you promised the voters that if you were elected you would give us a tax freeze. We have lived up to our end of the bargain. When are you going to live up to yours?
