The Class of 1999 Class Reunion will be held Oct. 24 at Golf De L Golf Course at 7 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, $40 per couple. Final concert
Come to the Lewis Family Pavilion at the Lincoln County Historical Park on the evening of Nov. 7 for the Lewis Family's Final Concert. The Park will open at noon, and the music will start at 6 p.m. A $10 donation gets you in to a memorable evening of Bluegrass Gospel Music with the Lewis Family.

Bingo is Friday
Bingo is played at the American Legion Post 194, Lincolnton, Georgia, every Friday at 7:30 p.m. A snack bar is operated by the Ladies Auxiliary available during bingo.
Class reunion

Anniversary celebration
The Usher and Usheretts of Tabernacle Baptist Church will celebrate their 82nd anniversary on Sun., Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Charles Lacy and Mt. Pleasant and Mt. Nebo Baptist Church will be in charge of the service. Rev. Ray C. Lewis is pastor.
Country cooking
A country cooking all you can eat supper will be held at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Sat., Oct. 17 6 - 8 p.m. Cost is adults $7 and children $3. All proceeds will go to charity.
Miss LCHS Pageant
The Miss Lincoln County High School Pageant will be held on Oct. 29 at 7:30 in the LCHS Auditorium. The pageant is being sponsored by Future Business Leaders of America. LCHS girls wishing to participate can pick up an entry form from the LCHS office or from Mrs. Dukes, FBLA Adviser. The entry fee is $40 and due to Mrs. Dukes by Oct. 19.
Men, women's day
Men and Women's Day observance will be held at Newberry Missionary Baptist Church Sun., Oct. 18 during regular worship service, 10:15 a.m.. Presiding elder, Jane E. Thomas, Macon/Barnesville District, Sixth Episcopal District, will be guest minister. Rev. Willie J. White is pastor.

First Assembly of God has begun a new ministry to reach the hispanic community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The sermons are now interpreted via a microphone/ earphone system. Those who do not understand English wear earphones and the service is translated by Ms. Isabel Garrett. Ebenezer Baptist Church will celebrate its 133rd anniversary Sun., Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sam Davis and Beulah Grove Baptist Church as special guests. The public is invited. Rev. Fred Perriman is pastor.
Volunteers needed
If you think Pioneer Day, scheduled for November 21, is fun for spectators, think of how much more fun it is to be on the inside helping to put it on.
There will be an organizational meeting for all personnel involved in Pioneer Day on Sunday October 25 at 2:30 pm in the May House at the Lincoln County Historical Park.
All persons interested in volunteering for Pioneer Day are highly encouraged to attend. The Historical Society needs your help to put on a quality event
Final Lewis concert
Come to the Lewis Family Pavilion at the Lincoln County Historical Park on the evening of November 7th for the Lewis Family's Final Concert. The Park will open at noon, Little Roy Lewis will be doing Parking Lot Pickin' from noon until four, the food concession will be open at four, and the show will start at 6 pm.
Jeff and Sheri Easter will open, and the Lewis Family will follow at approximately 6:45 pm.
A $10 donation gets you in to a memorable evening of Bluegrass Gospel Music with the Lewis Family.
Bridge games
Duplicate bridge games will be held weekly at two area locations. The first is at Hickory Knob State Park restaurant every Monday. The restaurant is open immediately before and immediately after the game that begins at 1:30 Monday afternoon.
The other game is held on most Thursdays at the Savannah Lakes Village Activity Center in McCormick at 6:30 pm. Both games are open to all interested players at all skill levels.
Although it is best to bring your own partner, we will always try to find you a partner. The Monday game is sanctioned by the ACBL, and master points are awarded. Players are not required, however, to be members of the ACBL.

Freshwater Coast pageant
The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will host the first Miss Freshwater and Junior Miss Freshwater Coast Pageant Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. The pageant is open to females 15-21 years of age that live within 50 miles of Lake Thurmond.

Board of elections meetings
The regular meetings of the Lincoln County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will be held the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The meetings will be held at the Board of Elections, The Lincoln Center, 160 May Ave., Lincolnton, Ga. Any changes to the scheduled dates or alternate dates for meetings occurring on holidays will be posted.
Ghost stories wanted
The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and the Lincoln County Development Authority are collecting local urban legends and ghost stories. They do ask that all stories are historical and entertaining in nature, involve a supernatural event, and are believed to have a non-fiction origin. These stories will be featured in a Halloween story telling to be held at the Welcome Center October 31, 2009 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. For more information, please call (706) 359-7970.
Dinner at Post 194
Dinner served at American Legion Post 194 every Wed. night at 6:30 p.m. and Fri. at 7 p.m. Wednesday's menu changes weekly. Every Friday is steak night. A large variety salad bar, shrimp cocktail, baked potato, bread, dessert and ice tea are included with steak.

The University Mobile Mammography Unit comes to the Lincoln County Health Department once a month..
