FFA members participate in CDE
Alison Chalker (left) participated in the FFA Junior Floral Design CDE at Jackson High School in Commerce. Pictured with her is FFA Advisor, Mr. Dennis Gay. Lincolnton FFA Members Alison Chalker and Paul Clifton recently participated in Georgia North Region FFA Career Development Events.
Chalker participated in the FFA Junior Floral Design CDE at East Jackson High School in Commerce, Ga. Chalker was required to prepare a boutonniere and a three flower bud vase each that would be suitable for use in a Fall wedding.
Clifton participated in the FFA Tractor Operations, Maintenance and Safety CDE at Banks County High School in Homer, Ga. Clifton was required to answer question pertaining to tractor maintenance, complete a practicum where he made troubleshooting decisions based on various scenarios, demonstrate an operation pre-check and drive a tractor through an obstacle course that required him to safely hook to a drop spreader in a simulated barn, maneuver through a curved alleyway and return the spreader to the barn.
Both FFA members represented our chapter and our school well in their first-ever Career Development Events.
