Class of 99 reunion

The Class of 1999 Class Reunion will be held Oct. 24 at Golf De L Golf Course at 7 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, $40 per couple. Final concert

Come to the Lewis Family Pavilion at the Lincoln County Historical Park on the evening of Nov. 7 for the Lewis Family's Final Concert. The Park will open at noon, and the music will start at 6 p.m. A $10 donation gets you in to a memorable evening of Bluegrass Gospel Music with the Lewis Family.

Adult softball reg.

Lincoln County Recreation Department is taking team registration for fall league of adult softball. Contact Kathie at 706-359-2236 for more information.

Program at FBC

First Baptist Church will have a Men Marching of Christ Program Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. Rev. Hull and Heards Chapel Church will be in charge of the service. The public is invited.

Choir anniversary

Mt. Zion Baptist Church Choir will celebrate its anniversary Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Rev. Robert Crawford is pastor.

Class reunion

The class of 1974 will celebrate it 35th high school reunion Sat., Nov. 2, 7 p.m. at Tara Clubhouse. If you are planning on attending, please provide a current email or street address by calling Larry Ramsey at 706-513- 3513. A letter will be mailed to you with details of the reunion.

Anniversary celebration

The Usher and Usheretts of Tabernacle Baptist Church will celebrate their 82nd anniversary on Sun., Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Charles Lacy and Mt. Pleasant and Mt. Nebo Baptist Church will be in charge of the service. Rev. Ray C. Lewis is pastor.

Homecoming at New Hope

New Hope Baptist Church will celebration its homecoming on Sunday, October 4th during its morning worship.

Fall revival will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7 pm.

All are welcome.

Church anniversary

Greenwood Baptist Church will celebrate its 225th anniversary Oct. 4. Morning worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a catered barbecue lunch. Special speaker will be Rev. Donald Walton.

Rev. Walton will also be speaking Mon., Tues., and Wed. night at revival services at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

4-H Day at UGA

4-H Day at UGA. The Lincoln County Extension office has tickets available for the Nov. 7, 2009 UGA vs. Tennessee Tech football game, cost is $50.

Men, women's day

Men and Women's Day observance will be held at Newberry Missionary Baptist Church Sun., Oct. 18 during regular worship service, 10:15 a.m.. Presiding elder, Jane E. Thomas, Macon/Barnesville District, Sixth Episcopal District, will be guest minister. Rev. Willie J. White is pastor.

Mission program

Tenth District Annual Mission Day Program will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga., Sun., Oct. 18 at 3 p.m. Rev. Beatrice Olden is guest speaker. Rev. Martin is pastor.

Executive meeting

The Lincoln County Food Pantry Executive Committee will meet at the Lincoln County Public Library Thurs., Oct. 15 at 1 p.m.

Golf tournament

A four-person scramble golf tournament will be held at Golf De L Sat., Oct. 24. Entry fee is $50 per player or $200 per team. Cash prize awards. All proceeds will go to Lincoln County Family Connection Ferst Foundation Literacy Program. Deadline to register is Oct. 19.

Auxiliary to meet

The Ladies Auxiliary Unit 194 will meet Thurs., Oct. 8, 7:30 p.m. at the post home. All members are encouraged to attend. Please remember to bring your items for the food pantry.

Miss LCHS Pageant

The Miss Lincoln County High School Pageant will be held on Oct. 29 at 7:30 in the LCHS Auditorium. The pageant is being sponsored by Future Business Leaders of America. LCHS girls wishing to participate can pick up an entry form from the LCHS office or from Mrs. Dukes, FBLA Adviser. The entry fee is $40 and due to Mrs. Dukes by Oct. 19.

Family, friends service

First Baptist Church will have Family-N-Friends service Oct. 11, along with regular service. Lunch will be served. The public is invited.

LWREA to meet

The LWREA will meet at the Mary Wllis Library at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Oct. 8. All retired educators are invited to attend.

Music program

First Baptist Church will have a musical program Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. with The Echols of Joy and other groups. The public is invited. Admission is free.

Pioneer Day Nov. 21

Pioneer Day at the Historical Park is Nov. 21st. Ready for a hot apple fritter and a cup of coffee? It's almost that time again, so mark it on your calendar.

Last year 3,000 people came to Lincolnton for a day of good clean family fun - you won't want to miss it. Planning is in progress and as always, volunteers are needed and space is limited for vendors. Keep your eye on The Lincoln Journal for details.

Democrats to meet

The Lincoln County Democratic Party will meet at the Lincoln County Public Library on Mon., Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. Mr. Terry Holley, 10th District Congressional Chairman for the Georgia Democratic Party, will be the guest speaker.

Freshwater Coast pageant

The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will host the first Miss Freshwater and Junior Miss Freshwater Coast Pageant Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. The pageant is open to females 15-21 years of age that live within 50 miles of Lake Thurmond.

Historical society to meet

The Lincoln County Historical Society's October meeting will be held at 12 p.m. on Oct. 7th at the May House. Planning for Pioneer Day will be on the agenda and Pioneer Day volunteers are needed. Bring a covered dish and join us for lunch.

Homecoming at Midway

Midway UMC will have homecoming on Sun., Oct. 11 with services starting at 11 a.m. followed by a covered dish meal at 1 p.m. Please join us for a day of reminiscing and fellowship.

SALS to meet

The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 194 will meet Oct. 13 at the post home at 7:30 p.m. All members are asked to please attend the meeting, this is a new year and our veterans need us to help them in all ways.

If you have not paid your 2009- 2010 dues, please bring them to the meeting.

Women's conference

Solomon Pool Deliverance Ministries will have its annual Women's Conference Oct. 9 - 11.
