Berdie W. Crawford

Berdie W. Crawford, 88, widow of Charles W. Crawford, entered into rest on Monday, August 24, 2009 at Self Regional Healthcare, Greenwood, S.C.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 27 at Plum Branch Baptist Church. Interment followed in Robertson Cemetery, Plum Branch.

Born in Plum Branch, S.C. on June 7, 1921, Ms. Crawford was a daughter of the late Dewey R. and Nettie Bush White. She was a textile worker and a member of Plum Branch Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dewey Calvin White and Lawrence White, and a sister, Celeste Hanson.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Crawford of Plum Branch; a daughter, Jean C. Wells of Plum Branch; two sisters, Betty Faye Wells of Plum Branch and Helen Ramsey of Appling, Ga.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 10 stepgrandchildren.

Pallbearers were family members. Strom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
