Sara Beth Moore weds Andrew Pinson May 23
MR. AND MRS. ANDREW PINSON Sara Beth and Andrew Pinson were wed on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at The University of Georgia Chapel in Athens, Georgia.
The double ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Carlos Sibley. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Kenneth Moore. The bride wore a white sleek satin gown designed by Casablanca. The gown had "V" necklines on both the front and back featuring beadwork along the waistline, and dainty beaded buttons accenting the chapel length train. The bride carried a bouquet if white roses and pale green hydrangeas, arranged by Joel McRay of Greensboro Florist in Greensboro, Georgia.
The maid of honor was the bride's younger sister, Kimberly Moore. The matron of honor was the bride's older sister, Carla Wood. The junior bridesmaid was the youngest sister of the groom, Emili Pinson. Bridesmaids included the younger sister of the groom, Lauren Pinson, and friends of the bride, Ginger Bradley and Billie Rae King. The bridesmaids wore black tea-length tissue taffeta dresses gathered at the shoulder straps. The junior bridesmaid's dress was ankle-length. Hair and make-up was done by Elizabeth Satterfield of Rene & Co. in Greensboro, Georgia. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of soft pink hydrangeas.
The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxes with black bowties. The groom had a single white rose as his boutonniere, while the groomsmen each had a single pink rose. The best man was the father of the groom, Ed Pinson. Groomsmen included the brother of the bride, Daniel Moore, and friends of the groom, Tyler Johnson, Eric Roden, Juan Sanchez, and Patrick Wills.
Musicians Mark and Dawn Ruppelt played piano and trumpet as the guests entered the chapel, as well as during the processional and the recessional. The bride's friend, Sloan Rhodes, read the scripture passage. The groom's friend, T. J. Mimbs performed "Go There With You" during the ceremony, while playing guitar, accompanied by Dawn Ruppelt on piano.
The reception was held at The Classic Center Cypress Room in Athens, Georgia. White linens covered the guest tables where candles and the bridesmaids' bouquets served as centerpieces. The three tiered wedding cake was coconut, hummingbird, and lemon cake, white in color, laden with pale green hydrangeas. The groom's cake was German chocolate, shaped and decorated as the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium. The reception guests were entertained by Music Master Disc Jockeys from Duluth, Georgia. Guests dined on a cocktail buffet provided by Center Stage Catering of Athens, Georgia. As the couple left the reception, guests lined their pathway while blowing horns and bubbles.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents, Drs. Ed and Debbie Pinson of Watkinsville, Georgia, at East West Bistro in Athens, Georgia. During the meal a video montage of the couple was presented and gifts of appreciation were given to the wedding party and parents.
The photographer, Mark Parsons, of Watkinsville, Georgia, captured the event for future recollection.
The couple honeymooned at Copamarina Beach Resort in Guanica, Puerto Rico.
Sara Beth and Andrew now reside in Athens, Georgia. Sara Beth is employed by The University of Georgia, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, as a graduate research assistant, while pursuing a graduate degree in poultry science. Andrew is a second-year student at The University of Georgia School of Law.
The couple was honored with parties and showers throughout their engagement. A miscellaneous bridal shower was hosted by Rhonda Bradley, Kathy Cawthon, Cathy Rhodes, Elizabeth Satterfield, and Jan Thurmond at the Washington Grass Inn in Siloam, Georgia. A couple's "Around the House" shower was hosted by Jimmy and Billie Rae King and John and Carla Wood at the Wood's residence in Lexington, Georgia. A Bridesmaid's luncheon was hosted by Donna Adams at Yesterday Café in Greensboro, Georgia.
