Janie Goldman Teasley Mrs. Janie Goldman Teasley, 94, of McCormick Hwy., entered into rest on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Funeral service were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Revs. Charles Ivey and Thomas Moon officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Teasley was retired from Oxford Manufacturing as a seamstress and was a homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Bethany United Methodist Church and was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Women. Survivors include two sons, Jack E. Teasley and wife, Betty of Andersonville, Ga. and Roger L. Teasley and wife, Carol of Garner, N.C.; three daughters, Joanne T. Martin and husband, Jack of Hartwell, Ga., Sarah T. Close and husband, Bob of Carlsbad, Ca. and Ellen T. Schumpert and husband, Roy of Mc- Cormick, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Clara Teasley of Lincolnton; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Teasley was preceded in death by her husband, Hoke Smith Teasley and a son, Tommie S.Teasley. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons.
