Annie Ruth Bentley Fox
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Deryl Odom officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Fox was the daughter of the late Thomas Wilkes Bentley, Sr. and the late Kate Reid Bentley. She was a mother, homemaker and assisted her husband in the shoe repair shop. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Dorcas Sunday School Class and was a past member of the W.M.U. Survivors include two daughters, Annette Fox Tompkins and husband, John of Augusta, Ga., and Jeannie Fox Pond and husband, Johnny of Cumming, Ga.; one son, Grover W. Fox, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, John Todd Tompkins of Augusta, John D. Pond, Jr. and wife, Maryann of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Grover W. Fox III "Trey" and wife, Mandy of Evans, Cheryl Grace Fox of Augusta, Shelby Kyles Fox of Lincolnton; five great grandchildren, Cameron Chase Pond, Michelle Roma Pond, Issac John Pond, Nikao Frances Pond and Hayden Parker Fox; one brother, T.W. Bentley, Jr. of Wrens, Ga.; one sister, Esther Bentley Daniels of Augusta. Serving as pallbearers were Doug Baker, Ted Bentley, Tommy Arnett, Ray Bentley, Wayne Bentley and Bobby Arthur.
