Huddle House Secret Santa fund-raiser Sat.

The employees of the Huddle House are getting an early start to ensure that all Lincoln County children have the merriest of Christmases this year.

On Saturday, July 4, the restaurant will be selling over 400 new T-shirts and jerseys for $1 each, with proceeds benefiting the "Secret Santa Program."

For the past two years, Richard Brown, owner of the Huddle House, and his staff have embraced the gargantuan task of administering the initiative. With strong support from the community, the program served 156 families in 2008.

In his comments, Brown said, "We hope folks will drop by and purchase at least one shirt on Saturday to help us make this a good Christmas for the children in our community. With the economy the way it is, families are going to have very little money left over for 'extras.' Please help us bridge the gap."
