Vacationing in the Bahamas
      Henry Ferguson, Eunice Sapp, Louise Harris and Melvin Harris enjoyed a trip to the Bahamas for vacation May 21 - 25, 2009. Louise had The Lincoln Journal packed to bring with them but took it out to read and forgot to re-pack it.

Addie Rose Bentley celebrates third birthday on two occasions
      Addie Rose Bentley, daughter of Matt and Amberly Bentley, celebrated her third birthday on May 3 with a "Princess GiGi" party at her home. Each guest were treated to snack foods and birthday cake! The little guests all played outside and enjoyed the beautiful day!

      John Thomas and Alisha Johnson Lee of Washington announce the birth of their daughter, Gracie Marie, on Thursday, May 14 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Gracie weighed seven pounds, six ounces and was eighteen and three-fourths inches long.

      Georgia Southern University students Amanda R. Pruitt, a sophomore and Benjamin B. Brown, a senior, both of Lincolnton, Georgia have been named to the President's List for the Spring 2009 term. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

      Georgia Southern University students Donna L. Dove a junior, and Kirby A. Wilson, a joinor, both of Tignall, Georgia have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2009 term. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Williams receives MAT degree from Augusta State Univ.
      Latanza Monique Williams, a 1998 graduate of Lincoln County High School, recently earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) for Middle Grades Education from Augusta State University on May 9, 2009. To complete the program, she completed her practicum experience at Thomson-McDuffie Junior High School teaching eighth-grade Georgia Performance Standards Mathematics.
