Mrs. Ruth Ping, 84, wife of the late Robert Glen Ping, Sr. died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Quality Health Care in Wintergarden, Fla.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 29 at the Lincolnton City Cemetery in Lincolnton with Rev. Jimmy Chapman officiating.

Mrs. Ping, one of 12 children born to Arlie and Mittie Webb Brock, was a native of Mayking, Kentucky but had lived most of her life in Ocoee, Florida. She had been employed by the Spring Lake Elementary School in Ocoee.

She is survived by a son, Robert Ping, Jr., of Tignall, Ga.; two daugh- ters, Brenda Darlene Smith and Sheila Faye Lamb, both of Ocoee, Fla.; six grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Bufurd Brock, of Danville, Ind. and Arlie Brock, Milledgeville, Ga.; seven sisters, Vicki Blackmon of Danville, Ind., Berneice Ison of Spencer, Ind., June York of Indianapolis, Ind., Ann Rohloff of Clayton, Ind., Peggy Ping of Sanford, N.C., Ellen Peeler of Deland, Fla. and Arlene Walsh of Nashville, Ind.
