The morning worship service Monday through Saturday will feature Rev. Andy Collins, Pastor of Sharon Baptist Church since June 2004.
He worked as Youth Director at Sharon for two years and at Powell Baptist Church for four years. Andy has a heart for kids. He taught high school social studies for a year at Butler High School before becoming full time Pastor at Sharon Baptist. His calling to youth ministry came during a mission trip to Mexico.
He went to Mexico to pour concrete and to be part of a construction crew to add on to the church building - but NOT to work with the children. But as the Lord would have it, it rained too hard to pour concrete and the only thing left to do was to work with the children. It was during this week that the Lord touched his heart to enter into youth ministry.
Andy's service to the Lord as Pastor at Sharon has been a time of spiritual growth and fulfillment for Andy personally and for the Church. He currently attends Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta where he is working on a Masters of Divinity degree. He and his wife, Melissa Flanders Collins, have a son, Stephen.
The guest evangelist for the evening services and the Big Sunday service on June 14, will be Rev. Scott Rodgers. Rev. Rodgers was born and raised in Augusta and grew up in the ministries at The Hill Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Augusta.
After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1991, he married his wife, Jacki Lee in 1993. They have two daughters, Hope, 11 and Grace, 8.
After graduating college and starting a family, Scott began to realize that God was calling him to a more specific ministry.
Scott answered God's call to preach in October of 1998. He was licensed to preach in 2001 and Ordained in 2006 at West Acres Baptist Church where he and his family are currently members.
Scott's unique style marries old time energetic preaching with contemporary relevance for a 21st century life. Having been in church since 9 months before he was born, he is very passionate about preaching to the church. Through this, God has opened many doors for Scott to help churches, and its members, by serving in a bi-vocational role as Interim Pastor for several churches in the area and preaching numerous revivals throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
Rev. Rodgers states "I love to see the lost come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ because there is nothing more important than our eternity. But I must confess that I get my greatest personal thrill from seeing the stale believer reignited. So many know the salvation of Jesus, but they keep Him at an arm's length from their life, just like I did for so many years. I was missing it! I love it when the light goes on and folks become passionate about discovering the thrill of walking with Christ everyday…..to truly discover him, not only as Savior, but also as Friend. I am thankful to my Jesus everyday that He allows me the privilege to be involved with the most important aspect of a person's life, their personal relationship with a Holy God."
Each nightly service will feature special music. The following are scheduled to perform for the 2009 campmeeting:

Wednesday night - Ms. Stephanie Greene, Thomson, Georgia

Fountain Campground was established in 1822 on land deeded for religious purposes only to be governed by nine trustees - three each from McDuffie, Warren and Wilkes Counties.
The nondenominational campground does not fall under any one church affiliation, but invites people of all faiths to attend and worship.
The tabernacle is open with handhewn beams and trusses, wood benches and a sawdust floor. Surrounding the tabernacle are open wooden tents (cabins) which also have sawdust floors. Modifications such as electricity and running water have been added. There are recreational vehicle campsites and public bathhouses.
Campmeeting week allows good preaching, visiting, fun, recreation and a closeness with God that you may never find anywhere else.
Fountain Campground is located on Highway 80 North, approximately 9 miles from the Camak/Warrenton Exit on I-20. It is located between Cadley and Washington, Georgia.
Everyone is welcome at Fountain Campground.
