Earl Norman Florence
Earl Norman Florence, 72, husband of Lorene Elliott Florence, entered into rest April 25 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 27 from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barrett Alewine officiating. Entombment was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Born in Lincolnton May 22, 1936, he was a son of the late Charles Dennis and Ada Lee Norman Florence. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Mr. Florence was a wonderful husband and dad and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lori Florence of Green- wood, S.C.; a step-daughter, Sharon Lawton of Greenwood; two stepsons, Rusty Lawton and wife, Aileen of Chappells, S.C. and Danny Lawton and wife, Ann of Greenwood; six step-grandchildren, Whitney Carper, Sara Lawton, Lee Ann Free, Bryson Lawton, Oliver Lawton and Mason Lawton; two sisters, Sybil Wessinger and husband, George of Chester, S.C. and Iris Robinson and husband, Irvin of Monticello.
Pallbearers were Scott Bledsoe, Stan Carper, Carroll Powell, Ricky Bledsoe, George Wessinger, Jr., and Billy Robinson.
