Putting for pets golf tourney
How do you combine fun, sun, barbeque, exercise, a chance at great prizes and do your part to help homeless animals all in one neat package? You follow the lead of other savvy fun seeking do-gooders and sign up for the Humane Society of McCormick County's 6th Annual Golf Tournament and Memoriam for Harold "Pudge" Geiselman at Hickory Knob Golf Course on Saturday May 16th.
The fun begins at 8:00 a.m. with a putting contest followed by a 9:00 a.m. "Shotgun Start", Captain's Choice. Door Prizes totaling over $1,500 will be drawn throughout the day and awarded to lucky registered players. The first place team of four will share in a purse of $100 while the second place team will share a $40 purse. Both teams will each receive a certificate good for a round of golf for four at either Savannah Lakes Village golf course, Tara or Monticello. Golf prize must be played as a team and winners will be responsible for coordinating play time with their group.
A BBQ dinner and free beer and soft drinks at Long Cane Center (The Red Barn at Hickory Knob) will be served after golf. The entry fee is only $50 per person which includes dinner and eligibility for all door prizes. Non-playing guests may join the fun by purchasing a "dinner only" ticket for $10. In addition, raffle tickets for a beautiful antique ring donated by Sharp Facets of Greenwood will be available. The net proceeds will benefit HSMC and their many programs which include a county wide spay/ neuter campaign.
