The LCHS Boys Tennis Team won the first round of the Class A state playoffs, defeating Telfair County 3-1.

This marks only the second time in history than an LCHS boys tennis team has made it to the "Sweet 16" for a shot at the state title. The first time was in 1997.

In addition, LCHS is only one of three public schools remaining in the Class A playoffs.

The team is scheduled to play Brookstone Academy in Columbus on Wednesday, April 29.
