Mrs. Mary L. Tarver, 81, of Lincoln Avenue, entered into rest on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Georgia.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Rosser officiating.

Mrs. Tarver was born November 9, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Ira and Thelma Vance. She was retired from Kmart, a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Tarver and wife, Nancy of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michael Tarver and wife, Rebecca of Lincolnton, and Greg Tarver and wife, Debbie of Indianapo- lis; two daughters, Gerry Snelling of Collenville, Illinois and Christann Shelby of Spencer, Indiana; brother, Joe Ferguson of Shelbyville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Gloria Ferguson of Indianapolis; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were classmates of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
