Lincoln County 4-H'ers participating in DPA were (L-r): Quardale Hogan, Tynecia Garnett, Jamaul Hawes, Meg Ball, Macy Hill, Lura Shultz Six Lincoln County 4-H'ers attended Northeast District Jr./Sr. Project Achievement at Rock Eagle near Eatonton, Ga. on March 6-8.

Project Achievement is where 4- H'ers select a project area, submit a portfolio of one year of supporting material and present a 10 to 12 minute speech or demonstration on a specific topic in that area.

Northeast District Project Achievement had over 700 4-H'ers in attendance at this event. Our Lincoln Co. 4-H'ers did outstanding jobs of competing against stiff competition. Hats off to our 4-H'ers and all of their hard work, time and dedication they put into their projects.

Lincoln Co. 4-H Project Achievement participants, projects and placing were Meg Ball - Public Speaking, Honorable Mention; Jamaul Hawes - Pizza, Honorable Mention; Quardale Hogan - Food Fare, first place; Macy Hill - Sports, Honorable Mention; Lura Schultz- Performing Arts Vocal, Honorable Mention and Tynecia Garnett- Better Breakfast, second place.

In addition, Lincoln Co. 4-H was represented on the Senior Board of Directors for the 2008-2009 school year by Meg Ball who served as Vice President of Northeast District Senior Board of Directors.

Congratulation for a job well done and we look forward to you running for a State 4-H Board seat. Furthermore, the Lincoln Co. 4-H program was recognized for its community service work led by a team of 4-H'ers and was presented with an award. 4-H'ers were accompanied by the Lincoln Co. Extension Staff mem- bers Mr. Monte Stephens and Mrs. Martha Partridge.
